    Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)

    This qualification prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with and care for children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

    Level 3 Early Years Educators must pass or already hold GCSE English and maths A*-C or Level 2 English and mathematics.

    Intermediate Level Apprenticeship for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

    This is a framework that includes the Level 2 Certificate, and learners must also successfully complete Level 1 Functional Skills assessments in English, Mathematics and ICT.

    This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and skills needed to work as a nursery assistant or other supervised roles in child care.

  • Entry requirements

    In order to undertake the Level 2 Certificate, the Intermediate Level Apprenticeship or the Level 3 Diploma you need to be at least 16 years old and working or on a placement in early years.
